You still have time to bid on some much needed shelter, a quilt made by our own director, Nancy Dowell.  Tickets are now being sold for $1 per chance with all proceeds going to United Way, but watch your back, this item is highly desirable and there can only be one winner!

Ernest Hemingway tried to inlist in the US Army during WWI, but was turned down due to poor eyesight. He volunteered to drive ambulances for the Red Cross in Italy instead. Soon, thereafter, the 19 yr. old transferred to the Italian infantry.
